C ~ Wind ⇐ SW@6mph Monday 16th March 2020 ~It's amazing what a little springlike sunshine can do! Although there were no new arrivals at Brandon Marsh today there were many raptors enjoying the clear skies with double-figure
Buzzards, two
Sparrowhawks and the local
Kestrel pair. Even the
Ravens got in on the act mid-morning with five birds seen circling overhead East Marsh.
On East Marsh Pool: (2) Redshank, (4) Oystercatcher, (4) Shelduck (with a further (4) overhead but not dropping in), (1) Great Crested Grebe & Kingfisher flyby.

Also of note a few more
Sand Martins passing through and a couple of singing
Chiffchaffs. The first butterflies of the year too with
Peacock,
Small Tortoiseshell and three
Brimstone.
